Back in the office on Monday there was a real buzz around the whole building. When we asked for specific feedback it was heart-warming. Colleagues were saying ‘what a fantastic company to work for’, they feel so valued and why would they want to work anywhere else? ”
We were briefed to come up with an event that would motivate and energise the Skipton Direct team. This large telephone team, mainly staffed by young people, takes calls from customers who need advice and support. It’s a new and fast growing part of the business.
As it was summer festival season, we came up with the idea of a mini-festival, staged within the grounds of its headquarters in Skipton. This is right up our street –we love the challenge of turning everyday spaces into engaging environments.
The festival theme was a good fit with the young demographic of the team, but with a limited budget we had to be imaginative and ensure the event delivered maximum impact for the money.
We organised the festival from start to finish with a main stage area, live bands, colourful graphics, a hog roast, bar and team games.
We are now planning on doing an event for the whole building as colleagues within other areas of the business are envious of how successful it was.
