Our brief from TransPennine was to deliver an immersive experience to reinvigorate and engage managers, getting their collective buy-in to deliver the company’s mission of ‘Taking the North further’.
The day included business updates, video of the new trains launching in 2018 and previews of new uniforms and station and on-board innovations. Management were introduced to new uniforms and station and on-board innovations.
After an initial plenary presentation, delegates split into breakout areas where various topics from across the business were covered in different ways, including business ‘speed dating’, which proved popular in giving snapshots of different areas of the business. An artist sketched a panel from each session, joining them together at the end to provide a visual translation of the day, to demonstrate how all their ideas can come together to achieve their goals.
An external presentation about ‘The Northern Powerhouse’ got management excited for the future of the region and appreciating how a strong rail network will contribute towards its growth.
The conference was followed by an evening event in the transformed ‘Heaven’ area, where some of the content from the day was shared with stakeholders.
